Asphalt Shingles

Asphalt shingles AKA composition shingles or composite shingles are a composite product made from either a fiberglass or cellulose mat, asphalt, and mineral granules. they differ from wood shake shingles or clay tiles which are made from a single material. They are durable, easy to repair, and readily available.

Metal Roof

Metal roofing is available in several materials including steel, aluminum and copper. It also comes in several forms: sheeting (which includes the predominant type known as “standing seam” roofing) and tiles. If you don’t like the smooth look you can buy stone coated steel roofing which has the texture of asphalt roofing.

Wood Shingles

Wood shingles are thin, tapered pieces of wood primarily used to cover roofs and walls of buildings to protect them from the weather. Traditionally more expensive than composition shingles, they provide good protection and energy benefits as well as a natural appearance. The shingles are sawn on both sides to provide a uniform look. When properly maintained, wood shingles can last 30 to 40 years. They are best used on steep pitched roofs that allow for water run-off.

Clay/Concrete Roof Tile

Tile roofs not made from metal or a composite material are typically clay-based or made from concrete. Tile roofs are another durable and long-lasting roof but they are heavy and your underlying roof structure needs to be designed to take the load. Clay or concrete tiles are available in a variety of styles. Some products are even made to mimic other types of roofing like wood shake.

Slate Roof

Slate is real stone and is one of the most durable and long-lasting types of roofing material you can choose. Slate roofs are aesthetically pleasing and are available in a number of shades . Slate roofs are heavy and your roof framing needs to be engineered to support this style of roofing.

"I love Big Fish Roofing and would definitely recommend them to anyone needing a new roof. They replaced my whole roof. Before I found them I had quotes from three other roofing companies. They were priced better than the others and right in our range. The quote process was easy and painless and quick. Mike Snyder took great care of us and lived up to every thing he said he would do. The crew came as expected and completed their work in a day and a couple hours of the second day. Clean up was great and the onsite supervisor, Austin Sanders, made sure we were informed through the entire process. My neighbors are now thinking about new roofs now that they know someone they can trust. These guys are great professionals and I am thankful for Big Fish Roofing!"

"If you need a new roof put on your house, you need to call Big Fish Roofing and ask for Steve. He was great. He came out on a Saturday. Signed the contract on Tuesday and had a new roof that Friday. Now we did get lucky because they had a cancellation but we still would have had a new roof within a two weeks time frame. The original company we were dealing with was $5K higher and had all of these hidden charges if you went with them but they are also "Storm"chasers...

I highly recommend Big Fish Roofing!"
